Dr. Brett Short
Dr. Brett Short, a WV native, studied pre-med at Marshall University and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1991. Licensed to practice in West Virginia, he has practiced in the Barboursville, WV area since March of 1991, and opened his own clinic in 1999.
Dr. Short serves as an independent medical examiner for the West Virginia Workers Compensation Fund. He is certified in X-Ray/Radiographic study and interpretation, as well as many advanced chiropractic techniques.
Dr. Short is active in the Chiropractic professionals' community, serving as a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the West Virginia Chiropractic Society, Inc., a diplomat of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and is also a member of the Speaker's Bureau.
Dr. Eric Cooper
Dr. Eric Cooper, from Culloden, WV, graduated from Cabell Midland High School then completed his undergraduate studies in Exercise Science at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV in 2009. During his time at WV Wesleyan, he ran track and cross-country on scholarship. Eric suffered from chronic back pain throughout his running career. Receiving the first-hand benefits of chiropractic care influenced his pursuit of the chiropractic career path.
Dr. Cooper attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in October 2012. During his time at Palmer, he traveled to Manaus, Brazil where he gained invaluable experience by providing chiropractic care to people in need.
Dr. Cooper is certified in Palmer Package adjusting which consists of Gonstead, Diversified, and Thompson techniques. He is also certified in Flexion-Distraction, Activator, and Nimmo Receptor Tonus techniques.
Dr. Destiny Cooper
Dr. Destiny Cooper moved to West Virginia from Illinois and received her Bachelor’s and Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 2012. While attending Palmer, she was president of Sacro-Occipital Technique club and participated in many on and off campus seminars gaining experience in pediatric care, women's health, and nutrition.
In March of 2012, Dr. Cooper traveled to Manaus, Brazil through Palmer's clinic abroad program where she and her colleagues provided free chiropractic care to thousands of people. She considers it one of the best experiences of her life and hopes to return as a supervising field doctor in the future.
Dr. Cooper practices a light, specific adjusting technique, Sacro-Occipital Technique, and is certified in the Webster technique for pregnant mothers through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, ICPA. She is certified in activator, soft tissue release, flexion-distraction, Palmer Package and SOT.
